Our curriculum meets specific national standards in STEM: Science (NSES, NGSS),
Technology & Engineering (ITEEA), Mathematics (NCTM, CCSSM), and is developed by professional teachers in conjunction with engineering specialists.

Here are some of the engineering disciplines we offer:


Aerospace Engineering

(Junior: TK-1st and Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

Our aerospace engineering students will use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and refine a variety of flying machines. From airplanes, rockets, blimps, and more -- this program is an absolute BLAST and is a favorite among our students!


Civil Engineering 

(Junior: TK-1st and Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

Building a house to withstand the Big, Bad, Wolf is where the fun begins! Our civil engineering program centers on exploring the concepts of building and construction through hands-on exploration and design. Explore the engineering behind sky scrapers, bridges, roads, and more in these fun and engaging experiences!

Mechanical Engineering

(Junior: TK-1st and Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

The junior mechanical program focuses on energy, materials, and movement. Students will use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and improve a variety of machines and mechanical systems. We introduce the basics of energy, traction, aerodynamics, and durability while constructing roller coasters, eggstreme defense vehicles, and even an incredibly fast air-powered custom dragster!

Mechanical Toys

(Junior: TK-1st Grade) 

Students will be introduced to fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement through creating something they love-- TOYS! Students will explore and construct six different toys throughout this unit, including spinners, magical boomerang cans, wind-up whirligigs, and more.

Electrical Engineering

(Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade and Master: 6th-8th Grade)

"It's Electric!" introduces students to electrical engineering through the Engineering Design Process. Design, create, test, and improve circuits, conductors, flashlights, levitrons, and more! Gain an in-depth knowledge of basic circuits through this very hands-on and engaging program.

Robotics

(Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

The curriculum for Robotics is designed to introduce students to both robot building as well as programming. The students will use LEGO® Robotics to build robots to accomplish a specific task while using their imagination to make their robot better than the basic robot. Students will discover the Engineering Design Process in a real world setting as they test their robots multiple times. Our robotics offerings include themes like: RoboGames, Mission to Mars, Robo Battles, etc! 


Electronic Game Design 

(Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

During the Electronic Game Design: Invader Defense classes, students will use Multimedia Fusion 2® to create their own video game. Whether students wish to fire marshmallow or missiles, they build a complete video game from start to finish. They program characters to survive a wave of enemy attacks in order to reach the next level. At the end of the class, students take home a copy of the game they create! 







Software Engineering using Scratch

(Junior: TK-1st and Apprentice: 2nd-5th Grade)

Using Scratch and Makey Makey, junior engineers-in-training create their very own dancing program and the musical instruments to bring music to life! 

Scratch Video sensing allows older students to design and program their own video games and then test them by interacting with the program via webcam. In this Scratch program, students work together to create their own games, art, and musical instruments while exploring coding foundations.
