Part-Time Assistant Instructor and Lead Instructor
Engineering for Kids® introduces kids ages 4-14 to Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education through classes, after-school programs, camps, workshops, and birthday parties. Join our team as we inspire the next generation of engineers!
- Enjoy working with children between the ages of
4 and 14
- Interested in hands-on learning of science,
technology, engineering, and math concepts
- Self-motivated, organized, punctual, and possess
strong communication skills
- Must have reliable transportation
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTORS: Work in the classroom supporting a lead instructor, motivating children and keeping them on task. On the job training for assistant teachers will be provided and there is the opportunity to eventually move into our lead instructor positions.
LEAD INSTRUCTORS: Follow our detailed STEM curriculum to teach engineering concepts to children between the ages of 4 and 14. As a lead instructor, you will be trained on our curriculum and work closely with assistant instructors to facilitate programs. Prior experience facilitating a group of children is preferred, but we will also provide strategies for classroom management.
You do not need a strong background in a specific field of engineering to become an instructor. We seek individuals with a friendly personality, willingness to learn new concepts, and enthusiasm for collaborating with others. We welcome high school juniors and seniors, college students, retired teachers, career changers, or anyone looking to work on a part-time basis to share the love of engineering!
