JUNE 25 – JUNE 29: ROBOT OLYMPICS CAMP

 Learn to design, build, and test your skills in robotics engineering. Each day will be a different Olympic challenge to see who can outlast and outwit their opponents!



JULY 9 – JULY 13: MINECRAFT TRAVELING INTO FUTURE

Join us in an apocalyptic future, one where the Earth has been ravaged by a series of natural disasters. Each day, students will rely on the engineering design process to solve a series of challenges such as building a city on a series of islands, escaping from a bunker on Mt. Everest, and even building a rocket to land on the moon! Through application of engineering principles, students solve numerous challenges as they make their virtual world of Minecraft a safe place for humanity once again.

 


JULY 16 – JULY 20: BUILDING CHALLENGES USING LEGOS

This week's camp will be full of challenging and fun builds using LEGO® WeDo and Mindstorm Robots. Learn how to design, program, and test your ideas. Each day will be a new build challenge ranging from an amusement park ride to a robotic arm that lifts and transports objects!



JULY 23 – JULY 27: MINECRAFT MEDIEVAL TIMES

This camp will introduce students to the many uses of Redstone through a Medieval themed adventure of creation, exploration, electrical circuits, and castle besieging. Campers will make mine cart tracks to help them gather resources, work together to build their kingdom, and design traps to defend their castle, all with the use of Redstone.

 


JULY 30 – AUGUST 3: ENGINEERING OF POWER AND ENERGY

This camp will have kids designing and building using LEGO® Robotics and everyday items to make things that do work and move. Learn about gears, electricity, and mechanics in this fun and educational camp!

 


AUGUST 6 – AUGUST 10: ROBOTICS MISSION TO MARS

Mission Mars curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building, but also programming basic robots. Throughout this course the students will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to explore a distant planet.


 

 AUGUST 13 – AUGUST 17: JR ROBOTICS – WE DO WILD ANIMALS

Time:  1:00pm-4:00pm

Using LEGO® bricks and motors, children investigate the behaviors of wild animals as they build and program their creations to move. Students join the LEGO® story characters of Max and Mia and find themselves encountering various animals in their natural habitats. Using the WeDo® software, children will build and program lions, monkeys, birds, and alligators to move and make sounds. Through the use of open discussion, students discover how animals behave and interact with their environment. Everyone in this class will have a ROARING good time!

 

 

AUGUST 20 – AUGUST 24: ELECTRONIC GAME DESIGN – NINJA WARRIORS

We will create our own version of a Platform game set in a dojo that we will defend from a ninja attack! We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then, we will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to bring our storyboard to life with programming.
