Whether you have a busy work schedule or your child simply wishes to enroll in a fun after-school activity, Engineering For Kids can help set him or her up for success. Many community centers, schools, and other facilities hire our esteemed educators to put on after-school classes that never fail to create an engaging and thrilling environment for young students.

Jackson Memorial Middle School

Robotics Engineering (8-weeks)

This Robotics: Robo Battles curriculum is designed to introduce students to the world of not only building but also programming basic robots. Throughout this course, the students will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in various battle challenges.

  • Class meets Wednesdays until 4:00pm

Mechanical Engineering (6-weeks)

In our 6-week course, students use the Engineering Design Process to design, create, test, and improve a variety of machines and mechanical systems. They will learn basics of energy, traction, aerodynamics, and durability while constructing rollercoasters, cars and sailboats.

Marine Engineering (6-weeks)

What causes something to sink or float? How can engineers help explore and protect the ocean below? These questions and more are all explored in Junior Marine. In this class, students explore the concepts of marine engineering and mechanics, harnessing the power of water, and discovering designs that help us make the impossible, possible.

This class is centered on exploring the concepts of building and construction through hands-on exploration and design. Students explore the engineering behind skyscrapers, bridges, roads, and more in this fun and engaging experience.

  • Apprentice Classes meet Wednesdays until 4:30pm - January 22rd - February 26

Engineering 101

This class will explore the various types of engineering disciplines as students come together to engineer a city of the future. We will study the environment, urban planning, design futuristic machines and enjoy learning how different types of engineers work together to make our world work effectively. Students will be exposed to Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, and industrial engineering.
