About The Owner
Patricia (Patty) Potts, Owner and Director
Patty holds a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with a focus in
Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety Sciences. She also completed
a Public Health Certificate, specializing in Environmental & Occupational
Health, from The George Washington University. Additionally, she is fully
certified in First Aid & CPR. She is passionate about increasing the
awareness of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math to help solve problems,
especially those related to health and the environment. She believes that
instilling these principles in children at an early age, coupled with
critical thinking skills, will lead to a future in which those principles
are intrinsically linked in the minds of the next generation for both
the economic and environmental success of our nation.
Patty brings an enthusiasm to teaching kids that she has developed with her own children. She knows that the information that kids retain is the information that is presented to them in a fun manner, through hands on achievement. She looks forward to bringing the unique hands on learning program that Engineering for Kids offers to the families of Southeastern Fairfax County.
