Jacob's Planet Project
Jacob had just finished telling his mom about how much he enjoyed his Environmental Engineering lesson by Engineering for Kids when she recalled that some people use human hair to soak up oil spills, the subject of the after school lesson. A Google search commenced. Soon Bill at Engineering for Kids - Saskatoon and Area was hearing about how excited Jacob was about using human hair to sop up local oil spills. He wondered how he could support this enthusiasm and discovered the eco-charity, A Matter of Trust. As April 2017, over 142kg of fur and hair collected locally have been felted into oil-absorbing mats with more to come, Jacob's Planet Project is seeking expand our effort towards protecting our environment.
