Quality Education for Greater Bakersfield

Inspiring & Educating Young Minds

Youth of Destiny Learning Center started in November 2014 to provide quality educational programs for the Greater Bakersfield community. In December 2014, we purchased Engineering for Kids South Kern territory to inspire children 4 - 14 yrs old in STEM related fields such as Robotics, Coding, and hands-on Engineering activities. On April 1, 2015 we partnered with the Black Chamber of Commerce to present our First Free Demonstration Workshop to the community of Bakersfield and it was a success! From June to July 2015, we held our first Summer Camp at The East Hills Mall where students enjoy our hands-on camp. In August 2015, we held our First Robotics Competition which was sponsored by the Black Chamber of Commerce and where Chevron presented us a $2,500 check to provide Free STEM classes to low-income students.

Over the past several years, we have continued to partnered with organization such as: University of LaVerne Bakersfield, CAPK (Friendship House and Shafter Center), Inspire Charter School, Valley Oaks Charter School, Summit Academy and Valley PBS to present our fun and engaging STEM activities to the community. Our future goal is to open a Engineering for Kids South Kern facility in Bakersfield by the end of 2018.
