Vaughan Summer Camp: Ages 4-7

July 4-8, 2022: Junior Inventors Camp

We have opened the workshop for a week full of fun, creativity, and of course -- engineering! In this camp, kids will experience both the design and programming part of being a robotics engineer. They will also invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process.

July 25-29, 2022: Let’s make toys Camp

It is fun for a kid to play with a toy. Imagine how amazing it can be to play with a self-made toy? In this full week camp, the youngest engineers will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. campers will explore and make different mechanical toys. They will also build and program robotics toys including, RACING CAR, MARS ROVER.

In this full week camp, the youngest engineers will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. Campers will explore and make different mechanical toys. They will also build and program robotics toys including, RACING CAR, MARS ROVER.

Aug 8 – 12, 2022: Junior Power & Energy Camp

Everyone has to travel, and engineers are involved in all the steps of designing different modes of transportation as well as inventing and designing tools that aid in travel. During this camp, campers will get their passports and travel to a new country every day by a different means! They will engineer their mode of transportation or tool to aid in transportation daily to get to their destination country. At the end of the week, they will have built several different means to travel by and have a passport full of all their memories from the places they visited.

Aug 22 - 26, 2022: Engineering Club Camp

A mix of different hands-on engineering activities in one camp! Junior campers play the role of Mechanical, Aerospace, Robotics & Marine Engineers in one camp. They have an important job to design the future by using the Engineering Design Process! Activities are fun & challenging such as building a racing car, designing a Mars Rover to move on Mars Safely, Build a Submarine and many more fun activities.

Engineering campers will explore the fields of marine engineering, mechanical engineering, Coding & Video Game Design, as well as robotics, to design and create the ultimate theme park. Their dream park can include video games, rides, mechanical toys, and roller coasters!

This week of camp is so much more than video gameplay! Students will learn about the engineering, technology, and innovation that is required for future human habitation of Mars. Within Minecraft, students will complete a variety of missions that are necessary for survival and the advancement of science on the Red Planet. Students will apply their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while completing missions within EFK's unique, customized, collaborative Mission to Mars Minecraft Map. This is a one-of-a-kind, out-of-this-world experience you will not find anywhere else.

July 18 – 22, 2022: Engineering of Travel Week

130 years ago, airplanes had not even made their first flight. Yet, today, we can fly to the other side of the world in 12 hours! It is thanks to advances in technology that we can explore so much of the world. In this camp, teams will have to work together to see who is able to travel the farthest around the world. This trek will require campers to design their very own Robots, boat, plane, even rockets!

This week of camp is all about the missions and mechanics of NASA’s Mars Rovers. Campers will take an in-depth look at how the rovers safely land at carefully selected sites on the surface of Mars to carry-out scientific investigations. Students will closely examine the anatomy, tools, and technology the rovers are equipped with in order to understand how their work continues to deepen our understanding of the Red Planet. Each day, classes will use EFK’s Engineering Design Process to engage in exciting, hands-on STEM challenges with real-world connections to NASA and mechanical engineering.

Minecraft Design, Environmental Engineering & Civil Engineering in one week!

What does the future look like? Imagine being recruited by the government to help with a top-secret mission. Scientists in an undisclosed location have developed a time machine. With their time machine, they have travelled from 50 to 500 years into the future. Back in the present day, they have set out to recruit the smartest and brightest young engineers to save the future. Get ready for a week of working fast and forward to achieve this goal! We will look at the innovations of today and apply them to create the designs of tomorrow, as we explore ways to harness clean energy and house a growing human population using environmental, mechanical, and civil engineering principles.

Robotics, Coding & Environment Engineering

During this week of camp, students will learn all about NASA’s robotic missions to Mars and the important role robots play in advancing our understanding of the Red Planet and paving the way for human exploration. Students will engage in hands-on robotic engineering challenges and learn to program their robots to perform a variety of scientific missions. Students will have the opportunity to apply their creativity and imagination to build upon and evolve their basic designs and programs.
