Engineering For Kids: Power & Energy Camp

In the Power and Energy camp, we look at ways to get things moving…no batteries required. In this camp, campers explore the foundational concepts of potential and kinetic energy by building machines. Additionally, students will explore natural power and energy sources such as falling water. Get ready for a shock in this energetic and engaging engineering experience!

Engineering For Kids Junior Inventors Camp

We have opened the workshop for a week full of fun, creativity, and of course — engineering! Campers will invent new machines and explore creative design solutions using the Engineering Design Process.

It is fun for a kid to play with a toy. Imagine how amazing it can be to play with a self-made toy. In this full-week camp, the youngest engineers will be introduced to the fundamental concepts of energy, materials, and movement. campers will explore and make different mechanical toys. They will also build and program robotics toys including RACING CAR, and MARS ROVER.

Engineering For Kids: Jungle Explorers Camp

Are you ready to go on an exciting jungle adventure with robots? In this program, students will tackle a variety of engineering challenges and use robotics kit to develop innovative solutions. They will learn about jungle ecology, as well as valuable coding concepts, such as sequences, loops, conditional statements. Campers will learn how to build, code, test, and use the Engineering Design Process to improve their designs. This program is sure to be a roaring good time!

Engineering For Kids: Playful Playground Camp

In this camp, students will become mechanical engineers that have been hired to design the ultimate playground in their community. Playgrounds are packed full of simple machines such as levers, wheels and axles, inclined planes, and pulleys. In these lessons, students will learn about the simple machines they encounter every day at the playground while advancing their literacy skills through a variety of read aloud. They will tackle fun and engaging challenges while using the EFK Engineering Design Process. We can’t wait to play!

Put on your hard hats engineers and join us for our The Engineering of Cities! In this camp, students work hard to apply their knowledge of construction to save the beach from erosion and build their very own city from the ground up. From roads and tunnels to buildings and skyscrapers, students discover that no job’s too tough for an Engineering For Kids® engineer

The stories will deepen their knowledge and spark their imagination as they engage in hands-on engineering challenges using EFK’s Engineering Design Process. In the stories and challenges, students will explore various topics in science, as well as Mars Rovers, aerospace, geology, and environmental engineering.
This camp is sure to spark children’s imagination and ignite their curiosity about the future of Mars exploration.

NEW! Engineering For Kids: Coding Ninja Attack Game

Video games are everywhere and in almost every form you can imagine! In Coding Video Game Design: Ninja, we will create our own version of a Platform game set in a dojo that we will defend from a ninja attack! We will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to outline the rules of play and characters for our game. Then, we will use the coding platform to bring our storyboard to life with programming. At the end of the camp, campers take home a working Windows-compatible game.

3D design and Minecraft both represent boundless opportunity for creating even our wildest of ideas! In this program, students will explore the basic concepts of 3D designing and computer-aided design, or CAD, to bring their most awesome Minecraft into the 3D world! Students will take their Minecraft design out of the world of Minecraft and learn how to extrude it into a 3D model.

Campers will learn about the engineering, technology, and innovation that is required for the future human habitation of Mars. Within Minecraft, students will complete a variety of missions that are necessary for survival and the advancement of science on the Red Planet. Students will apply their creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving skills while completing missions within EFK’s unique, customized, collaborative Mission to Mars Minecraft Map. This is a one-of-a-kind, out-of-this-world experience you will not find anywhere else.

In this camp, campers will work in teams to compete for the gold as they take on exciting engineering challenges related to the greatest athletic competitions. A place where engineers work to design the best experience for athletes, and robots compete in athletic challenges such as Hockey, Running, and Basketball and more. This is a gold-medal-worthy program filled with all the fun and excitement of the Olympic games!
