April Break Virtual Workshops
Treasure Hunt /Marine Engineering Workshop
In partnership with the City of Richmond Hill
Campers are amazed by the wonders of the ocean deep. Campers learn about Jacques Costeau and all his wonderful designs that helped him and others explore the ocean below. Campers create their very own Cartesian diver and work to uncover buried treasure.

- Time: 1 – 2:15 pm
Widget Spinner/ Mechanical Engineering Workshop
In partnership with the City of Richmond Hill
With the Fidget Spinner, there is a great opportunity for campers to become familiar with Newton’s Law of Inertia. This lesson has capers creating, predicting, and testing the change in motion due to adding unbalanced weights to their self-created take-home Widget Spinner!

Scrapping the Sky/ Civil Engineering Workshop
In partnership with the City of Richmond Hill
In the Scraping the Sky Workshop, students will investigate the basics of skyscraper construction. Students will have the opportunity to construct a skyscraper individually by using a variety of materials.

Engineering For Kids Virtual "Racing Car Workshop"
At this hands-on workshop, students create a car that uses air pressure to move! This toy racing car will show students how driving or resisting forces act on the wheel and axle.
In this workshop, young engineers will use the Engineering Design Process as they predict, test, and improve their design!
This program will require an activity kit, which will need to be picked up by the parents from the dedicated community centre, before the workshop date.
- Age: 4 - 7
- Date: Monday, April 12, 2021
- Time: 10 – 11:45 pm
Engineering For Kids Virtual "Junior Aerospace Workshop"
At this hands-on workshop, Junior Aerospace Engineering workshop, we will introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of aircraft and spacecraft design.
Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct some flying machines!
This program will require an activity kit, which will need to be picked up by the parents from the dedicated community centre, before the workshop date.
