Minecraft Design Workshop (Online)

App Development Virtual program

At this fun workshop, students build their very own Minecraft Roller Coaster & Automated Vending Machine! Students will have to navigate several engineering and teamwork challenges to do so. Students will draft blueprints and plans on paper before beginning to create it in Minecraft to make it as much like the process of designing a real Roller Coaster. Teamwork is the key to success!

Students may use their own Minecraft PC account or Engineering For Kids will provide a temporary username & password to login to Minecraft.

App Development Virtual program

At this workshop, Students will dive deep into the BitsBox platform and learn to code apps. This app development platform is designed specifically for children and they will learn to code their first apps.

Workshop Requirements: A computer/laptop, a mouse (recommended but not mandatory) and a solid internet connection.

3D Design Workshop (Online)

3D designing is one of the most widely applicable and fun inventions on the tech scene today!

Students in this workshop will learn the basics of computer-aided design (CAD) using kid-friendly interfaces and a foundational approach. They will be in charge of what they create and the overall design while instructors provide them with the instruction.

Workshop Requirements: A computer/laptop, a mouse (recommended but not mandatory) and a solid internet connection

These questions and more are all explored in this fun Junior Marine Workshop. Students will explore the concepts of marine engineering and design floating machines. Students join a virtual private meeting to interact with other students and instructors and follow the steps to build their toys.

3D Design is one of the most widely applicable and fun inventions on the tech scene today! In the 3D design program, we will explore the basic concepts of 3D computer-aided design, or CAD, to design and create our very own 3D object! Students will also learn how and why 3D printing has been evolving rapidly over the past few months in response to the needs of health communities!

Virtual Coding Electronic Games (Game Design)

This program will have the students to become software engineers and design their very own video game that can be played over and over! Students will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard that identifies and captures the rules of play and characters for the game. Then, by using the Clickteam Fusion 2.5®, they bring the storyboard to life, at the end of the program, everyone takes home a working Electronic game.
