Engineering (Age 4-7)

Engineering for Kids have a variety of fun and engaging programs for children ages 4-5 years old. Our programs are designed to introduce our youngest engineers to the concepts of Junior Engineering. Jr. Aerospace Engineering
Fasten your seat belts, we're ready for take off! This program is designed to introduce our youngest engineering students to the basic concepts of aerospace engineering related to the science of aircraft and spacecraft. Students will discover, learn and explore different flying machines. They will be able to construct their own creation and bring it home. By the end of the program, each Junior Engineer will be “Licensed to Fly!” Click to Register

Junior Chemical Engineering
What are you made of? Our youngest engineers are introduced to fundamental concepts of solids, liquids, and solutions. Students investigate the properties of several crazy concoctions and make their own samples of bubbles, play dough, flub, and more.

Junior Civil Engineering
Put on your hard hats and goggles, it's time to build! This program is designed to introduce our youngest engineering students to the basic concepts of civil engineering related to the science of building and construction. Through open and focused exploration, students will design and construct their own roads, bridges and buildings. By the end of the program, each Junior Engineer will be “Licensed to Build!”

Junior Industrial Engineering
Have you ever wonder how things are made? This program is designed to introduce our youngest engineers to fundamental concepts of assembly line process, operation of manufacturing company and simple machinery. Through open and focused exploration, students explore and construct simple machines and manufacture products using an assembly line process, like a delicious treat! Click to Register

Junior Mechanical Engineering
Why did the apple fall from the tree? This program is designed to introduce our youngest engineering students to the basic concepts of mechanical engineering related to the analysis, design and maintenance of mechanical systems. Students will have the opportunity to design and build a really cool contraption lab, roller coaster, catapults and more to test the concepts of physics, motion and energy with their creations. Aerospace Engineering
Fasten your seat belts, we're ready for take off! This program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of aerodynamics with a variety of flying machines. Students will have the opportunity to design, build and test their very own straw rockets, bottle rockets, colorful model hot air balloon, parachutes for a toy jumper, and simulate a lunar landing with a marshmallow "astronaut" that must survive being dropped from space. Civil Engineering
Put on your hard hats and goggles, it's time to build! This program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of structural engineering, tension and force through a variety of structures. Students will design, build, test, and refine several structures, bridges and towers, made of different materials that will withstand the greatest force. As they examine their creations, students will learn the principles of tension, compression, bending, torsion, and shear. Click to Register

Electrical Engineering
It’s electrifying! This program is designed to introduce students to the concepts of circuit design, building and maintenance through hands-on activities, like discovering electrical properties, building circuits, creating your own flashlight, and converting wind energy to electricity. Mechanical Engineering
Why did the apple fall from the tree?! This program is designed to introduce students to the principle of physics and materials science for analysis, design and maintenance of mechanical systems. Students will have the opportunity to design and build a zip sail, roller coaster, egg-drop vehicles, and an incredibly fast CO2 Dragster to test the concepts of gravity, inertia, kinetic energy, friction, stress and velocity. Welcome to the World of Robotics! This program is designed to introduce students to the principles of robotics, computer programming, and teamwork using LEGO® MINDSTORMS™ EV3 sets. Students will have the opportunity to use their imagination and critical thinking skills to design, program and control fully functional robotic models that will accomplish specific tasks by using software to plan, test and modify sequences of instructions such as hitting a ping-pong ball, pushing an opponent’s robot out of a sumo ring, competing in a game of tug of war, and more.
