Engineering For Kids of Southern Palm Beach Camps

Thank you for considering Engineering For Kids for your child's summer camp experience.

We offer exciting weekly camps that are educational in nature but also exciting and challenging for the children at the same time. Our camps go beyond the standard summer camps by offering unique programs that keep the children engaged, using their minds to solve problems and compete in fun activities. In most of our camps the children take home what they build or program. The camps are offered to children between the ages of 6-13 years old. Pricing:
  • 1 week, half day camp (morning or afternoon session) = $160.00.

Siblings receive a 10% discount. All sibling discounts are automatically calculated through our online registration system.

Future engineers who will be attending a morning and afternoon session are encouraged to bring a bagged lunch and eat with our instructors. We do not provide food.

Amazing Race - Around the World in 5 Days

Over a century ago airplanes had not even made their first flight, yet today we can fly to the other side of the world in 12 hours. Now it's time to use that advanced technology to compete in an around the world race. Students in this camp will work to see who can travel the furthest and fastest around the world. We will explore four fields of engineering: aerospace, mechanical, marine, and civil engineering while building vehicles, such as dragsters, power boats, airplanes, and rockets. Fasten your seat belt, the race has begun!

Clickteam Video Game Design – Invader Defense

The aliens are attacking! In Invader Defense, we will create our own version of an invader defense game that will allow us to protect our world from an alien invasion. Students will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to design their own invader defense game complete with spaceships, lasers, sounds and animation effects. At the end of the class, everyone takes home a working Windows-compatible game. (Clickteam Fusion 2.5® does not support Mac or Android operating systems). (Computers are provided by Engineering for Kids)

Clickteam Video Game Design – Platform Games

Imagine your friends asking to play the video game you created! This is possible with our Clickteam Video Game Design camp. Students will use Clickteam Fusion 2.5® to design their own Mario style, side scrolling video game complete with enemies, obstacles, power-ups and more. No programming knowledge required. At the end of the session, students take home a copy of the game they created so they can show it off to their friends. Clickteam Fusion 2.5® does not support Mac or Android operating systems). (Computers are provided by Engineering for Kids)

Dr. Kelvin’s Gross Science Lab

Slime, goop, oobleck and more… come get your hands dirty with us during this camp (and yes, parents we will clean them up before they come home). This fun and creative camp will have your kids learning about all sorts of solids, liquids, mixtures, and compounds in this hands-on approach to learning!

Engineering of Power and Energy

Power and energy are what everything requires to move, turn on, light up, and make noise. In the Engineering of Power and Energy camp, students will break up into engineering teams and help each other to create unique ways to harness, manipulate, and use energy to build fun toys. Students will learn about circuits while designing walking robots, flashlights, levitating trains, glowing bugs and more.

LEGO® Robotics – Olympics

Have you ever wanted to battle robots in sumo wrestling? How about basketball, tug-o-war or soccer? In this camp students will learn how to program LEGO robots to complete different challenges and beat their friends in several sport competitions. This camp teaches basic logic progression and coding in an easy to understand, visual manner. No experience required.

LEGO® Robotics - RoboBattles

During this camp, students design, build and program LEGO robots to compete in sumo wrestling battles, jousting, tug-of-wars and tank battles. Learn the principles of robotics, computer programming, and teamwork to emerge victorious on the battlefield.

MinecraftEDU – Competitions

Put your Minecraft skills to the test in this friendly competition with games such as Capture the Flag, Freeze Tag, Castle Assault, Scavenger Hunts, Roller Coaster Challenge and more. Students will work together in a team to succeed and be crowned the Minecraft Competitions champions. No previous Minecraft experience is required or needed. This camp teaches students about teamwork and fair play in a fun, hands-on manner. All computers are provided and students learn in a closed and protected network environment.

MinecraftEDU – Medieval Redstone

This camp will immerse students in the expansive world of Minecraft as they build a medieval castle to protect their kingdom. But look out, pirates are known to attack. You will need to build TNT cannons, drawbridges, and other Redstone automated defenses to protect your castle. This camp teaches students about basic circuits and energy flow in a fun, hands-on manner. (Computers are provided by Engineering for Kids)

MinecraftEDU - Traveling into the Future

This camp will immerse students in the expansive world of Minecraft, and will challenge student's ingenuity and problem solving skills as they navigate through several engineering challenges. Students will learn how to use teamwork and manage resources like an engineer in the real world. Building in Minecraft allows students to experiment with designs and materials, all without the risks associated with building structures in the real world. Learn how to survive a drought, build bridges that can stand against wind, build rockets, and colonize the moon. No experience is necessary. (Computers are provided by Engineering for Kids)

Momentum Madness

Zero to sixty in two seconds?! How fast can an object go without compromising safety? Students in this camp will work with their Pit Crew to design and build vehicles, such as dragsters, airplanes and hovering levitrons, which should able to withstand astonishing speeds.
