We’re excited to announce a new hands-on series of virtual classes for junior students that has been designed specifically to help establish the necessary foundational information that answers the question "What is engineering?". Welcome to Jr. Engineering Club: FUNdamentals!

Students will build projects that float, fly, zoom, buzz and hopefully stand strong in this FUNdamentals course and we look forward to seeing what they can create!

This program will require an activity kit, which will need to be picked up by the customer. Pick up date and location TBD

NEW! Virtual Coding with Roblox!

Join us, from the comfort of your home, for this virtual program. CODING is the process of creating instructions for computers to follow. Students will be digging deeper into the coding aspects of the Roblox, also they will create scripts to give the game sets of instructions and rules, also they will learn about the variables in coding.

Requirements for the virtual class:

- A PC or Mac computer. Roblox cannot run on Chromebooks or mobile devices such as smartphones.

- Internet access. This allows us to keep the software up to date and gives you the opportunity to save your projects to your Roblox account.

- A free Roblox account. Roblox Studio is free to use and does not require a license.

- A 3-button mouse with a scroll wheel is recommended.

Design, create, and make your very own sustainable city, using Minecraft! In this program, students will explore the theme of urban gardening and green spaces and how they contribute to a more environmentally friendly, self-sustaining city. Using the Engineering for Kids design process, Electrical & Environmental engineering skills, students will be in charge of designing fully automated green systems!

In this program, we will be using Minecraft JAVA which is only compatible with PC (Windows) & MacBook (MacOS). So, families need to have either of these devices available for their children.
Students will receive a temporary Minecraft account from Engineering For Kids to be used only during the class time.

The details of the Minecraft accounts and setup for this program will be communicated with the families by email, a few days before the start of the program.

Virtual Coding Game Design ( Beginners Level)

Virtual Coding Game Design

This class will have the students become software engineers and design their very own video game.Students will use the Engineering Design Process to create a storyboard to identify and capture the rules of play and characters for the game. Then, by using the Game Design Software (Coding), they bring the storyboard to life with programming. At the end of the program, everyone takes home a working Electronic Video game.

Class requirements:
* Computer: Only PC or MacBook Except for Catalina or newer versions. (NOTE: NOT COMPATIBLE WITH CHROMEBOOK)
* Solid Internet

This program will immerse students in the expansive world of Minecraft and will challenge students' ingenuity and problem-solving skills as they navigate through several engineering challenges. Students will learn how to use teamwork and manage resources like an engineer in the real world. Building in Minecraft allows students to experiment with designs and materials, all without the risks associated with building structures. Students get to learn: How the United Nations is using Minecraft in the process of urban planning and design!
