Build, Create & Explore with Engineering For Kids!
Our classes give kids ages 5–12 the chance to discover engineering, technology and robotics through fun, hands-on projects and challenges. Whether they love building with LEGO, programming robots, experimenting with technology or discovering how things work, there’s something for every young engineer.
This Fall, we are offering after-school, weekend and homeschool programs at the following locations:
- Oak Bay Recreation (Neighbourhood Learning Centre)
- Saanich Recreation (Saanich Commonwealth Place)
- Panorama Recreation (Greenglade Community Centre)
- West Shore Parks & Recreation (Juan de Fuca Recreation Centre)
We also offer after-school programs exclusively for students at:
- St. Michaels University School (Junior School)
- Brookes Westshore

September to December Classes
Ages 5–7
Our junior engineers learn through building, experimenting and creating with age-appropriate challenges.
- Jr. LEGO & K’NEX Building Club
- Jr. Mechanical Engineering
- Jr. Marine Engineering
- Jr. Civil Engineering
- Jr. Aerospace Engineering – Sky Riders
Ages 8–12
Older students take on more advanced challenges as they design, build, experiment and code.
- Technology Studio: BBC micro:bit and Makey Makey
- LEGO Robotics Lab with EV3 Mindstorms
- Marine Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering – Master Machines
- Electrical Engineering – High Voltage Hijinks
Homeschool | Ages 6–10
Explore a new hands-on engineering challenge each week, with projects inspired by students’ interests and ideas.
