Engineering for Kids of New York City - Bronx

Virtual Programs

We put the excitement in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Education for children ages 4 to 14. We do this by offering hands-on-learning through FUN activities from designing and constructing rockets, hot air balloons, roller coasters, to designing video games and creating and programming robots using LEGO® bricks. We are proud to inspire children to build on their natural curiosity. Our owner is an engineering graduate of MIT and uses the Engineering For Kids curriculum for his 13 year old son’s learning.

We currently conduct after school classes at Bronx schools, camps, and birthday parties. Our trained instructors use curriculum linked to common core and come with all supplies for hands-on learning. We provide speakers who can inspire children to consider STEM related careers.

“We are extremely satisfied with the quality of work by Engineering For Kids …. We would most highly recommend them to other social service organizations.”

Cyber Robotics 101 Cyber Robotics

This is a web-based week long course in the basics of robotics engineering and coding. This course develops arithmetic, geometry, spatial reasoning, and problem solving through coding and the essential ability to read and write code in standard non-coded language. Students will use an online platform and coding language similar to Scratch to maneuver a virtual Lego EV3 robot. Through differentiation, our instructor can accommodate coding beginners and challenge experienced EV3 coders. Click here for more course details.
