At This Workshop Children Will Learn About the Following:

Civil Engineering:

Paper Towel Challenge: ages 4-7

  • Learn about strengths of materials and how they can be used to their advantage.
  • Understand the importance of incorporating balance into their designs.
  • Realize that various materials can change a design’s strength properties

Bridge Construction: Ages 8-14

  • Analyze and plan bridge model
  • Assign tasks and roles to team members
  • Work collaboratively to formulate a construction plan
  • Implement and evaluate their construction plan

Hands-On Engineering project and Family Violence issues that foster problem solving, critical thinking, and peers collaboration.
