S.T.E.M. Learning Center
Illiana's Learning Center's Special History
Our S.T.E.M. Learning Center is a special place, in a building dedicated to learning that has been part of the community since 1931. We are located at 649 Mulberry Street in Hammond.
Originally built as a library, our location served as the Sawyer Branch of the Hammond Public Library until 1993. After falling into a state of disrepair, the building has been lovingly restored to a place where minds can grow and kids can be inspired.
Our building when it still served as the Sawyer Branch of the Hammond Library, c. 1984.
